We offer international container transport throughout Europe. Every day we transport containers to Germany, Poland, France, Switzerland and Austria. But containers to other European countries are also in good hands with us. Think of Scandinavia, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and further in Eastern Europe we easily know our way around. We offer container transport solutions in roundtrip and on a one-way basis.

GG Rietveld & Zn is the specialist in transporting connected reefer containers. We have 15 chassis with genset and a team of drivers that is trained to handle temperature-sensitive products with the utmost care.

Our genset trucks mainly transport pharmaceutical products, food, plants and flowers, but also all kinds of other temperature-sensitive products. Our expertise in genset transport is largely focused on the transport of pharmaceutical products that must be transported according to the strict GDP guidelines.

FOUNDING & EARLY YEARS

GG Rietveld Transport was founded in 1939 by GG Rietveld in Benschop. The company started with a combination of transport and fruit growing. The first trucks, which were second-hand, were used for transporting agricultural products and fruit, both from their own cultivation and for other companies in the region.

JAREN ‘50

GROWTH INTO GENERAL CARGO

In the 1950s, the company expanded to the port city of Rotterdam. GG Rietveld began to specialize in general cargo transport for various customers, which ensured further national and international growth. The use of covered trailers and open cars made the company a leader in this sector.

EIND JAREN ‘60

INTRODUCTION OF SEA CONTAINER TRANSPORT

GG Rietveld was one of the first companies in the Netherlands to adapt to the new mode of transport of sea containers. This made the company a pioneer in container transport.
