GG Rietveld & Zn BV is a respected and reliable player in the logistics sector, specialized in delivering high-quality logistics services. We focus on international transport of sea containers in Western Europe, transport & distribution, and storage & transhipment.

FROM BEGINNING TO FINISH: A RICH HISTORY
1939
FOUNDING & EARLY YEARS
GG Rietveld Transport was founded in 1939 by GG Rietveld in Benschop. The company started with a combination of transport and fruit growing. The first trucks, which were second-hand, were used for transporting agricultural products and fruit, both from their own cultivation and for other companies in the region.
JAREN ‘50
GROWTH INTO GENERAL CARGO
In the 1950s, the company expanded to the port city of Rotterdam. GG Rietveld began to specialize in general cargo transport for various customers, which ensured further national and international growth. The use of covered trailers and open cars made the company a leader in this sector.
EIND JAREN ‘60
INTRODUCTION OF SEA CONTAINER TRANSPORT
GG Rietveld was one of the first companies in the Netherlands to adapt to the new mode of transport of sea containers. This made the company a pioneer in container transport.
1989
RENEWAL AND MODERNIZATION
The company was transferred to the four sons of GG Rietveld. Shortly afterwards, a more modern management approach was chosen and a new building was built in 1991.
1991
FURTHER GROWTH AND INNOVATION
The new location was equipped with office space, a warehouse with extensive storage facilities, a fuel and washing area, and a secure parking lot.
2018
THE THIRD GENERATION
In 2018, the third generation joined the company. In this way, the continuity of the family business was further guaranteed. The focus is on further optimization and automation of business processes and innovation to meet the changing demands of the transport sector. In recent years, huge investments have been made in the right people and resources to ensure stable, professional and sustainable business operations.
